2NE1 Star Park Bom Releases Handwritten Note to Fans
SEOUL, Dec. 1 (Yonhap) -- Park Bom, a member of disbanded South Korean girl group 2NE1, expressed her sadness and apologized to fans regarding the group's dissolution.
"Sorry for such a notice to all who've been waiting for us sincerely," the singer wrote in the handwritten letter she uploaded on her social media page on Wednesday, her first public statement since the group disbanded last week.
"What I can say now is that I've put forth my best. We've prepared, waited and anticipated to show you guys more of our performances, but the world is just not my oyster," Park continued. "I won't forget all the happy and exciting memories we cherished together. It breaks my heart so much but I will store everything in my heart."
Park also shared her feelings about other members saying, "My heart aches so much when I think of separating from Dara, CL and Minzy," but then expressed her gratitude to her fans. "We were able to do everything because of you guys."
YG Entertainment, the group's management company, announced on Nov. 25 that 2NE1 had officially disbanded. The entertainment giant extended contracts with CL and Sandara Park as solo artists but not with Park Bom. Meanwhile, Gong Minzy, who left the group in April, transferred to a different agency.'
